Divine Focus is a Gathering for those who use their cameras, and the photographs they create, as a spiritual tool to see the world.

We aren’t professional photographers, but people who value the power of images, and for whom they evoke feelings, ideas, or simply help us to articulate our thoughts and our theology.

Our Gatherings

Meeting Monthly on Zoom

Divine Focus is a both a Kairos group, but also a Gathering for those with a passion, rather than expertise for photography.

Each month we offer a theme, with an associated text from the bible and between our gatherings, use our creativity and inspiration, to reflect on the theme, and take or gather from our back catalogues, six photos that help us unpack the theme.

Most of our time together, is devoted to sharing our photos, and the thoughts that lay behind them, after which we share in a brief time of responsive prayer – often using individual photos as a focus.

We never focus on the ‘quality’ of the photos, or competency of the photographer, rather simply their meaning for us.

Where do I send My photos?

Please email me (Andy) your photos, ideally by the Friday evening before the service to the following email address (large enough to show on screen.)

When do We meet?

We meet monthly on a Sunday afternoon (see the dates in our diary or in the theme list below) between 4:30-5:30pm (although we may take a few minutes longer if we have lots of photos to share).
