Selby Street Mission Gatherings
November 24 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm GMT
The Selby Street Mission
We invite and encourage any of our Kairos friends, to drop in and join Selby Street for their weekly worship between 10am and Midday weekly. It is a relaxed time, although often ‘interrupted’ (in a good way) and very much shaped by who is there, and what is going on for them, but you will be warmly welcomed. Several of the Kairos family volunteer weekly, and the church itself is overseen by Rev Andrew Stead.
Selby Street Mission is a place where love is in action, a safe place for people to spend time, receive counselling, food, friendship, clothing, bible study, worship and prayer. The mission supports the Boulevard area of Hull and all are welcome. Those who attend are an eclectic group of peoploe from people sleeping on the streets, to people who live in big houses in Hessle.
Kairos partners with Selby street mission, which itself partners with the Methodist District (Funding) Circuit (building) Anlaby Park Methodist Church (Day to day running) Rhema Counselling and Youth for Christ are important friends.
“We are so grateful to God for the huge amount of support we have received from individuals and churches in the Hull Central & West Circuit and as we continue to work in partnership with Rhema (addiction and counselling) and the Boulevard Circle of Churches we recognize that we are going to need more partnership, more volunteers and more of Gods Holy Spirit and energy in our own lives to continue. So our present prayers are for guidance, as we seek to serve God in this fantastic place. March 2021“
“Our long term aim is to continue to respond to individual needs recognizing it as the work of God and directed by Him. We step out in faith not knowing the future but certain of Gods hand on our efforts now and in the future.”
If you want to donate to the work, volunteer or provide clothes, food, or commit to praying etc. please contact Anlaby Park Church
